Camping and Accommodations

There is ample space for you to pitch your tent in and around our ashram village at Heart Hollow. And there is a dormitory tent (houses 3 very comfortably, limited availability, must be reserved with registration) if you would prefer to sleep there during your stay.

There is an off-loading/staging area established on the West side of the creek and a wheeled cart will be available for you to haul your equipment and supplies the short walk over the creek and on to several camping areas in and around Heart Hollow. Packing light is encouraged! Alternatively, you may choose to camp on the West side of the creek downstream from the off-loading area. In all cases, cars must be moved to the designated parking area across from the Clear Creek Farmhouse after off-loading in the designated staging area.

Please let us know if you plan to bring a camper or van (there is a space for this on the registration) and be aware that parking for campers, vans and all other vehicles is a short distance from the ashram village at Heart Hollow. If you have a need due to limited mobility or otherwise to camp close to your car, please reach out to discuss. Weather conditions permitting, we will make every effort to create suitable camping accommodations for elders and those with physical limitations.

Other Important Considerations

Our "base camp" area and much of the property is easily walked, but please do anticipate some hiking of moderately rugged and steep terrain as well as some "creek walking". There will be a limited wi-fi access point available only during certain hours each day. Cell service is sketchy at best in the entire Clear Creek Valley, though texts do sometimes go through in certain areas. Consider taking this opportunity to unplug, but know that contact with the outside world is available should you need it.

If you would like to schedule an extended stay in ashram but need to keep a limited remote work schedule, there MAY be opportunity for you to do so using the wifi access at the Schoolhouse. This arrangement will require some planning and coordination, so please reach out to us at playashram@gmail.com if you would like to talk more and assess if the request may be accommodated.

We love animals! They are our brothers and sisters.... but there are horses and other animals living on the farm, so please leave your furry friends safe, comfortable and cared for at home.
